"Another unfinished game! Jonny Quest was way too ambitious for the amount of money Hi-Tec were paying (?1500 for code, graphics and sound). Initially Jas and I were having a whole lot of fun doing it, but then the lack of money turned it into an almighty rush job. There should have been more enemies, more fight moves and proper puzzles. The C64 guys produced a more rounded game I think, whereas I over obsessed about the technical details, leaving no time to fully populate the game world. As a final bit of trivia, note that Hi-Tec asked for the following to be removed from the game: Jonny's kick move - kicking bunnies over was so much fun, knife weapon for Jonny/enemy henchmen, pistol (replaced by stun gun) and collision detection for the little red critters. All of these things are still in the source code, though the relevant graphics were only produced for the Speccy. "
