Comments for Adidas Championship Football by Ocean Software - Amstrad CPC/GX4000
Synopsis: Sorry either we do not have an official synopsis for this title or one was never actually written by the game developer, this is particularly true in the case of game packages that have multiple titles in one box. If you own this game, have access to the synopsis (usually written on the back of the box) and would like to submit it to CPC Zone for inclusion on this page, please post on our forums.

"Presentation is amazing, but the game itself is not so beautiful... the worst of its type. "

"not a bad football game but not great either... it sufferes from a difficult control system which takes time geeting used to. You can only play one player and with world teams only. Its worth a look but dont expect too much."

"I'm ashamed to admit to writing this terrible game. Adidas was the spawn of a much more ambitious player/manager game which was to be badged with a Liverpool Football Club license. The Liverpool game was nowhere near completion, but Ocean instructed us to use what code we had to get a game ready for the World Cup. Given time to develop the game properly, we would have removed the clunky kick control and tightened up the appalling AI. As it was, there wasn't even time to put in the data for all of the different player formations. Despite there being 4 choices, only 2 formations actually get used(!) The CPC release was undoubtedly the worst of the 8-bit versions, being something of a necessary evil after putting most of the effort into getting the Spectrum version out in time. I hate this game. Matthew Cannon's music was *amazing* though! "
