Comments for Microprose Soccer by Microprose - Amstrad CPC/GX4000
Synopsis: Sorry either we do not have an official synopsis for this title or one was never actually written by the game developer, this is particularly true in the case of game packages that have multiple titles in one box. If you own this game, have access to the synopsis (usually written on the back of the box) and would like to submit it to CPC Zone for inclusion on this page, please post on our forums.

"Sensi soccer on the CPC! Well, not quite. Let's face it, this could have been great, even with the garish colors, if the visible area was bigger on the screen. As it is it's as much fun as watching the UCL final on a handheld TV. Graphics are nice, though very green, but sound is pitiful. Banana shots are not exactly realistic even at the Low setting, but it's still a bit fun within the small box you can see. What a pity... "

"WTF! get the hell outta here Microprose... this is a shocking conversion of the C64 classic. Damn you all to hell."

"If this looked like the c64 version then this would be a great game but it has a tiny playing area and its speccy GFX all the way. The banana curve feature on ball spin is cool & so is the rain and lightening effetcs but dont even think about playing it with keyboard."

"Oh man. How disappointing was this?? Having played the awesome C64 version a lot round my mates I couldn't wait to get this for the CPC... how bummed out I was. Essentially its not 'that' bad, it's in the 2nd Division (I mean 'Championship' these days) of soccer games on the CPC as most of them were awful - there's far worse soccer games certainly and when they get a few votes you'll see this rise out of 'Top 10 Worst' on CPCZone I reckon; but most people will compare it to the C64 version and just cry. Like me! With its two colours, tiny playing area, clunky controls and complete lack of atmosphere it rates low, but it's still a bit of fun."
