"My brother had the C64 version, so I ran out and purchased the 6128 effort. Things were looking good, a terrific loading screen accompanied with the famous Splash wave soundtrack bellowing outta the rear speaker. Then it suddenly hit home, I'd only approached the first corner when my brother burst out laughing crying "the CPC version is pants". I'll never forgive the programmers of USGOLD. "

"Oh how I cried when i got this. The arcade game was amazing and I couldnt wait to play this in my home. It looked nice enough apart from the car not appearing to be on the ground, but wait where is the sound? Oh they have given you a tape of the arcade music to play at the same time, ingenious! what cheapskates! a REALLY big let down and wasted license."

"The only good thing about cpc OUTRUN was the cool loading screen that you expected this game to be great when it finished loading and the free arcade musical soundtrack... other than that the game is woeful."

"I never understood why everyone kept bashing at it so much; so, ok, it`s a bad conversion with almost no sound at all but it ain`t so bad on its own! Gfx are good, gameplay challenging -and, hey, you even got a tape recording of the arcade soundtrack! :D"
