Comments for Killer Gorilla by Micropower - Amstrad CPC/GX4000

Synopsis: Sorry either we do not have an official synopsis for this title or one was never actually written by the game developer, this is particularly true in the case of game packages that have multiple titles in one box. If you own this game, have access to the synopsis (usually written on the back of the box) and would like to submit it to CPC Zone for inclusion on this page, please post on our forums.

"I wrote this for MicroPower in Leeds. I arrived at their Leeds base and was sent up to an upstairs room in a building a mile away from their main offices, this upstairs room was the original base of MicroPower. I wrote the game over the course of a winter, developing on an Apricot PC with a Z80 cross-assembler and transferring the machine code through a parallel interface between the CPC and the Apricots Printer Port. I wrote a small monitor in 8086 assembler on the Apricot to send data between the two machines. I kept the source code for many years but don't know where I'd find it now. Duncan. "

"Comparing this to Nintendos Donkey Kong is hard work, as they are both exactly the same game, with almost identical sound effects. Difference is Killer Gorilla uses full screen and is not original aspect-ratio. Good fun!"
