Comments for Prehistorik 2 by Titus - Amstrad CPC/GX4000
Synopsis: Sorry either we do not have an official synopsis for this title or one was never actually written by the game developer, this is particularly true in the case of game packages that have multiple titles in one box. If you own this game, have access to the synopsis (usually written on the back of the box) and would like to submit it to CPC Zone for inclusion on this page, please post on our forums.

"I can confidently say there is not a better platformer than this on the Amstrad cpc. Perhaps i`m just blown away by what Titus managed to do with the humble cpc. All versions are catered for too so it works on the 464 (no music :( ) But gets a nicer pallette and brilliant title music on the Plus."

"Not as good as the first, the scrolling lets it down."

"The most impressive game on the CPC(+)? It certainly has a strong case for it! Fire it up on a CPC 6128 Plus machine (or indeed WinApe emulator) and just take a look at the gorgeous graphics, presentation and title screen. Oh yes ... the title screen - the first and probably only commercial game to utilise the newly added DMA sound capabilities with sampled instruments! What about the game itself? Platforming heaven! It's up there with any platforming game released on any 8-bit and even gives the 16-bitters a run for their money! Sadly let down by slow down when several enemies are on screen, and a jerky vertical scroll if you fall down and hit the bottom of the screen. Because of that it loses several marks, but the CPC community should embrace this gaming achievement and feel proud that we have something to show what the CPC could really achieve and make those darn C64 owners jealous! It's with sadness though you realise that this was 1993 and probably the last ever commercially released game ... typical that programmers decide to make an effort and get it right just at the end of the CPCs commercial life! Despite the slow down and jerky vertical scrolling, it still deserves full marks! Much respect to Elmar Krieger - now go check out his other masterpiece Super Cauldron!!"
