Comments for Red Heat by Ocean Software - Amstrad CPC/GX4000

Synopsis: Sorry either we do not have an official synopsis for this title or one was never actually written by the game developer, this is particularly true in the case of game packages that have multiple titles in one box. If you own this game, have access to the synopsis (usually written on the back of the box) and would like to submit it to CPC Zone for inclusion on this page, please post on our forums.

"A game with such unbelievably dull, monotonous terrible game play its shocking to think that Ocean allowed this to be released as late as 1989 across all formats. This version courtesy of Speccy-port programmer James Bagley (Cabal, Midnight Resistance, etc) phones in a really half-arsed game even besides the terrible game play choice of shuffle forward, punch, punch, shuffle forward a bit, punch some more, occasionally duck then head butt. Level 2 onwards throws in a gun with limited number of bullets to use, and the occasional bonus sub level which varies between waggle-the-jostick as fast as possible to a neat West Bank style one on level 3 ... featuring *gasp shock horror* ... a naked lady! Yes pixelised exposed boobs and all! Imagine the outrage sent to the letters pages of Amstrad Action if anyone ever managed or was bothered enough to get this far (I used a cheat) - I guess the programmers knew this, considering in the train yard at the end fighting the last boss they've drawn Thomas The Tank Engine in the background! Surely taking the piss Mr Bagley was with this one. Pretty shameful."
