"I liked this game, didn't have a problem with the graphics when I were a kid... however they sure have aged badly. Despite this I can still complete all the levels and 'A View To A Kill' still holds a good challenge. As far as I'm concerned this is a good game with good music."

"OK, it's nowhere near as bad as it's been made out to be - it was 1985 when it got released!! The earliest days of the CPC... even so Domark got quite a lot of hammering at the time anyway. I think they realised quickly that the 'Mines' level was the best one and allowed you to play that first despite the 'Paris' and 'City Hall' levels coming before that in the film! It was those 2 sections (I believe) that were outsourced to other programmers to get done in time. So to the game itself (in correct order)... The Paris level although buggy in places is playable once you work out what you need to do and how to go about things - it would have worked better by getting rid of the silly '3d window' and making the overhead section bigger and better. The City Hall level again has its problems like with being placed absolutely perfectly to open locked doors, and initially you're confused as to what to do - but make yourself a map of all the locations and items and you'll figure it out soon enough! This proved quite fun actually. Similarly with the Mines level - either with good memory or doing a map this is the most fun out of the three and an enjoyable game for its age. A lot of bugs on this level with jumping into or through sections sometimes! Top it off with a nice introduction screen and Bond music, I can't judge this too harshly as I did end up losing many gaming hours to this game. Rose tinted glasses? Nostalgia of being one of the first games I played? Probably, new comers to this title will think it hasn't aged well at all."

"Okay so it`s nothing fantastic but at least it bears some resemblance to the film (which was no great shakes either) more than some of the Bond games can claim. The only mildy interesting part is the mine game though which looks pretty archaic now but was impressive once. The rest is cack. Dated."

"Anyone else need closure on this little game?? I devoted months and years to finding the secret code to defuse the bomb in the mines sequence. Surely it is something to do with the missing room (found if you made a map) and the seemingly unreachable room shown in the demo between games? I think they did the right thing putting the mines first for the CPC version as this in my opinion was way better than the other two sections combined. I completed City Hall fairly easily, and whilst I made it to May Day's landing spot several times I never managed to capture her - just kept bouncing off the landing pad until the time ran out!"
