The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole was a popular TV show back in the late 1980s about the antics of one spotty teenage brat named, yes you guessed it Adrian Mole.

His life was never simple and he was always picked on by the older kids at his school, on top of all these worries he was in love with one girl from his school that was well and truly out of his league - she only dated muscular guys and that is something Adrian was far from being, even he classed himself as a loser with a capital L.

After the success of the TV show and the not so great sequel that was to be shown later about the now adult life of Adrian, Level 9 computing decided to cash in and release this computer game - is it any good? find out below.

Graphics

Well this game well and truly lived up to our expectations after it loaded and presented us with some dribble about Adrian Moles life from his not so secret diary. Graphics wise the game has nothing much to offer, sure the occasional (and we do mean occasional) poorly drawn graphic will appear at the top half of the screen just to illustrate what is happening but that?s just about it. Around 80% of the game is text orientated and unless you like this style of game you?re not going to have much fun at all.

Sound

In terms of sound, well we heard nothing - not even the smallest bleep from that little Amstrad speaker. Not that we are saying this game doesn?t contain any sounds at all because we certainly were not intent on finishing this title or even playing past the 30-40 minutes we already had to read through.

Gameplay

The game simply unfolds like an interactive story in which you must read 3 or 4 paragraphs of nonsense before making a choice for Adrian, once you have done this the rest of the diary will continue to flow based on the actions you told him to take. If you the kind of person that sneaks into your sisters bedroom and gets a kick out of reading her diary then perhaps this game will have something for you but for the rest of us "normal" people The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole is best left a secret as there is nothing, absolutely nothing worth reading in this dribble anyway.

We even doubt that fans of the TV series will get much out of this game, your all welcome to try it for yourselves but be warned it might send you to sleep before getting to anything interesting.
